Course programme
Course review:
Learn the ancient art of enamelling, which is fusing glass to metal using a kiln. In this short session we will cover the basics including health and safety and tools and materials Then you will learn how and why we counter enamel. Then we will look at a few enamelling techniques such as sifting, wet packing and applying media (mille fiori, glass threads, etc). If there is time or you have been before we will also look at techniques such as swirling and sgrafitto but the lesson will be tailored to your needs. Students will complete at least 3 pieces of work, which will make lovely pieces of jewellery.
