Heating installers are required to have an energy efficiency
certificate, this shows that the individual has passed an exam on
the energy efficiency of heating equipment, the course is built
around Part L of the Building Regulations.
What will I study?

Outline of Part L of the Building Regulations (England and
Wales) - Types of appliance and energy rating grades
- Types of system and how energy efficiencies can be made
- Industry terminology, how efficiency is rated
- Calculating heat loss and thermal savings

Assessment is by either paper based multiple choice paper or on
line test
On successful completion candidates can progress through to
other MES courses offered.
