Course programme
You will study units in Engineering , Science and Maths, as well additional units in Study Skills.
- You must be a mature student (19+) at the start of the course, preferable with some work experience in the Engineering area.
- You are required to hold a GCSE English, Maths and Science, grade `C or above, or equivalent, on commencement of the course.
- Applicants who don't completely fulfil the above criteria maybe considered based on the interview and assessment in English and mathematics.
- A successful interview is required as well as a satisfactory reference.
International Students
- Equivalent overseas qualifications will be considered
- IELTS 6.0 (with a minimum of 5.5 in each skill) or equivalent
Assessment is both continuous throughout the course, and based on written course work and examinations. You will achieve a Diploma in Access to Higher Education in Engineering on completion of the course. The course is 'kite marked' and awarded by OCNL (Open College Network London). The course is fully approved by OCNL and QAA and follows their rules and guidelines.
Students can progress to Higher Education courses including : Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering and other Engineering courses.
