Entry Requirements
It would be desirable if you have achieved four GCSEs at grades A-C, including English, science and maths; the Engineering Training Advisor will be happy to discuss this with you. You will also need to be employed in the Engineering industry, if you aren’t, its still worthwhile applying as Stockport College may be able to help you to find suitable employment. You need to be aware that without employment in this area a place on the course cannot be obtained. All students undergo a comprehensive initial assessment.

Course Duration
Advanced Apprenticeship – 2 years (Level 3).

Skills and Benefits
Throughout the course, you will follow a learning plan that sets targets and checks your progress. You will also be allocated an expert Training Advisor, who will guide you during your programme and help you to decide what to do after you have finished your training.

Course Assessment
Competence to carry out the whole range of tasks and is assessed as the course progresses. Underpinning knowledge is proved by way of verbal and written questioning.
