Content: The course will enable you to establish the foundations for a career in engineering. Whilst on the course you will design a product using computers (CAD) and use machinery to then make your product.
You will explore topics such as:

• Understanding Working in Engineering
• Understanding Machining Engineering Materials
• Understanding Electronics
• Understanding Motor Vehicle Maintenance
• Understanding Computer Aided Machining
• Understanding Engineering Design

Qualification: EAL Level 1 Certificate in Engineering and Technology
Could lead to: First Diploma in Engineering (Level 2) or NVQ in Performing Engineering Operations and other engineering or computing qualifications.
You would be able to work in a range of engineering disciplines or could go onto higher education to degree level.
Entry Requirements: You should have an interest in Engineering and Technology and have some skill in maths and science. You must be able to work in a safe and mature way in a workshop and be willing to try all aspects of this course.
