About this course
On completion, you may wish to progress onto a Masters in Engineering (M.Eng) or post-graduate research (PhD), as well as working towards profession registration as an Incorporated Engineer.
A BEng award is as much a prestigious qualification as an educational achievement and at the same time fully recognised currency for employment. Many Engineering disciplines use the award as a measure of management potential for holders of the qualification.
The BEng (Hons) is fully integrated to the range of Foundation Degree programmes offered at Thames Gateway College. You must ensure you complete a Foundation Degree before progressing onto the BEng. (as the Foundation Degree meets two thirds of the requirements of the BEng). Students with a HNC or HND in Engineering will be required to undertake a bridging programme to a Foundation Degree prior to undertaking study on the B.Eng. (the duration of study will be dependent upon your needs and on the content of the HNC or HND.)
