Who is the course for?
Anybody wishing to enter the Engineering Industry at Technician Level or those wishing to progress onto higher qualifications to allow them to enter industry at a higher level

What is the course about?
This course is designed to allow you to develop the higher level skills that you will need to gain employment at a technical or professional level within the engineering industry.

The course will cover the following topics:
Circuit Design and Manufacture
Product Planning
Computer Aided Design
Advanced Welding Techniques.
You will also have the opportunity to investigate Manufacturing & Business Systems.

Will I need anything else?
Safety Boots and Overalls must be worn in workshop sessions.
Pens, pencils and ring binders are required
All tools will be provided in practical sessions

How long & often do I attend?
Approximately 17 hours per week, 36 weeks per year for 2 years

How will I be assessed?
Through a range of practical activities and written assignments

What opportunities will this lead to?
You could progress to a BEng Hons Degree or Higher National Qualification in an engineering related discipline. You could enter employment as shift supervisor, junior product planner or junior design engineer.
