Entry requirements are A, B, C in English, Maths, Science plus one other e.g. Design Technology and successful completion of entry assessment paper. Candidates without pre-requisite number of GCSE†s will be considered if the entry assessment is successfully completed. All successful candidates will be interviewed and selected for the course.

Students will study the following 4 core units:
-Working Practices in Engineering
-Using and Interpreting Engineering Information
-Applied Electrical and Mechanical Science for Technicians
-Mathematics for Engineering Technicians
Plus specialist units.

Assessment methods include case studies,
assignments and work-based assessments, along with projects, performance observation and
time-constrained assessments.
