This course is for anyone who has an interest in Engineering and is able to attend either full time or on a day release. For those having gained an apprenticeship who wish to study on a day release basis and for non apprentice students on a full time basis.

Course programme
For under 19s, a minimum of 4 GCSE passes at Grade D or above are required or Level 1 Engineering & Technology. Mature applicants without formal qualifications but with experience in work-related areas are encouraged to apply. All will be assessed at interview.
The qualification focuses on practical skills and knowledge. This ensures that when the learner completes the qualification they will have gained practical experience and a high expectation of some of the situations that they could face in a job role within the engineering sector. This qualification has been designed to give a 'hands on' practical approach to engineering training. It enhances foundation level knowledge supporting employer requirements.
You will cover six units of performing engineering operations supported by a technical certificate.
Upon successful completion of this course you can progress on to a level 3 qualification within a variety of engineering pathways.
