Adult Literacy Certificate Level 1.
Where can it lead?
You could progress on to GCSE English provided that you achieve this level 1 qualification and your written skills are appropriate to take GCSE English. You may also meet entry requirements for other college courses at Level 1 and 2.
What will I study?
You will study how to take part in discussions, read and understand information and write documents.
How will I be taught?
You will be taught through lectures, individual or group work and taking part in discussions.
How will I be assessed?
You will have to take an external exam. This consists of a multiple choice paper and written course work which will enable you to gain an additional qualification.

You will be allocated a tutor to help you throughout the course and the College offers a range of student services such as learning support and guidance.
