Course programme

English Literature relates well to all other A-level subjects: it is the perfect complement to subjects such as History, Psychology and English Language, but also sits well alongside the science A-levels, especially if you are considering medicine or veterinary science. The skills you acquire through English Literature will enable you to consider a range of degree courses and a range of career paths in areas such as journalism or other branches of the media, education, law or practically any profession where you need to read thoughtfully and express yourself clearly and fluently in writing and in speech. Our students have gone on to some fantastic careers in a wide range of industries and enjoyed some exceptional work placements all over the world, helping them open doors to their dream careers. You can read our students’ stories here
