Course programme

Courses are offered from beginners/pre-entry level to Level 2 (equivalent to a GCSE grade A-C).
Students practise listening, speaking, reading and writing skills, using a wide range of modern ESOL learning methods. Students are encouraged to communicate actively in English, with each other and with the lecturer; they regularly work in pairs and small groups in the classroom for this purpose. Courses involve using computers and the college Blackboard system.

The course material is all about practical everyday situations. Grammar, spelling, and vocabulary are important. The content of each course is based on the ESOL core curriculum and is flexible to meet the needs of the individual students in the group. Courses lead to an exam that is nationally recognised in the UK.

All courses contain Citizenship information.
