After completing this course, learners can progress to Entry Levels 1 or 2 Skills for Life ESOL courses at City College Plymouth.

What does the course involve?:

Topics include:

  • communication at work
  • English for life in the UK.


You attend group sessions with a qualified and experienced ESOL teacher. Homework is set between sessions. Timing and length of sessions (up to 20 hours) is negotiated with your employer.

You receive an Individual Learning Plan (ILP) with targets agreed by you and your teacher. Progress against targets is checked throughout the course.
