Year 0 (Foundation year)

This foundation year is designed to give you the skills, knowledge and grounding to get the most from higher education. Through the mix of modules taken in this year you will gain confidence, develop new skills, and gain knowledge which will give you the foundations for success in your chosen degree.

Year 1 (Level 4)

In year one there will be a focus on supporting entrepreneurial thinking and business start-ups, with an emphasis on business, management and marketing later in the course. However, this is flexible in order to offer the right business support to each student.


Knowledge will be gained from a variety of sources. You will learn essential skills such as basic finance and marketing. This will be reinforced by continuous access to real-life entrepreneurs and business leaders. We have access to a huge network of business professionals, all of whom are generous and altruistic with their time and knowledge; they want others to succeed and are passionate about supporting ambitious and enthusiastic students of business.

Year 2 (Level 5)


In year two the focus will change onto the essential ingredients for growing business to commercially viable levels. You will carry out a business project involving setting up a formal start-up, supervised by academics and entrepreneur mentors. By this stage our students will have the confidence to be thinking in a bold and pioneering fashion.

Year 3 (Level 6)

In your final year you will be learning about things like leadership, influencing skills, advanced sales techniques and corporate social responsibility. Our students will leave us equipped with skills that could make a real difference to their future careers and lifestyles. You will complete a live business plan which will be assessed.

Each module should require around 36 hours of direct learning through a combination of lectures and tutorials. An estimated further commitment of 160 independent study hours will be required for each module, although this can vary from student to student.
