About the course
If you are working at a livery, riding stables or other equine establishment and do not want to attend college full-time then this programme could be for you. We may also be able to help you to find an employer.
You will normally spend one day a week at college and the rest of the week at work. As an Apprentice you will gain Work-based Diploma (formerly NVQ) Level 2, Functional Skills, BHS Awards and First Aid. The Work-based Diploma is split into units and you will be assessed on your practical ability and knowledge to do the job competently.
As an Advanced Apprentice you will gain Work-based Diploma Level 3, Functional Skills and a Health and Safety qualification.
