Equine Myofascial Release Techniques Level II
During the 3-day course the teacher will cover case histories and add new Myofascial Release (MFR) techniques, including work in the pelvis. Many of the techniques will directly relate to the rehabilitating horse.
MFR Level II for the equine population will investigate why the horse's body has led us to specific areas when we have used the intuition taught in MFR I. Patterns of movement can develop and it is useful to know which fascial restrictions have contributed to or resulted from these dysfunctions. This new knowledge will allow for increased efficiency in MFR sessions and more specific follow-up care that can be performed by the trainer and/or rider.
Course outline includes:
Day 1: Review MFR Level I techniques (theory and practical), Listing of consistent issues seen by EBWs (Equine Body Worker Association) working with MFR. Lecture and discussion on pelvic anomalies and causative forces. Practical application of new pelvic techniques.
Day 2: Cervical anomalies and forces causing them (theory and practical). Practical: new cervical techniques.
Day 3: Problem solving, rehabilitation situations and solutions, patterns that can be seen. from this new perspective. Practical: evaluation/treatment/re-evaluation using new techniques.
