ESOL Cambridge First Certificate Exams Skills
ESOL CAMBRIDGE FIRST CERTIFICATE EXAMS SKILLS Entry Requirements
You need either the Cambridge Preliminary English Test or an ESOL Level 1 qualification.
Description
A short 10 week course to develop Exam skills for the ESOL Cambridge First Certificate Examination.
Course Content
There will be frequent use of pair work, group work, role play and discussion to promote students' confidence
- An up to date and good range of teaching aids will be used: cds, dvds and the use of the Languages Access Centre
- Practise exams questions
- Oral exam in December and June
- Written exam in December and June
- Students expected to do 4 hours homework per week
Where a course is aimed towards an assessment/examination, it is expected that all students will enter for the qualification.
Method of Assessment
FCE consists of 5 papers:
1 Reading - 1hr 15mins
2 Writing - 1hr 30mins
3 Use of English - 1hr 15mins
4 Listening - 40mins
5 Speaking - 15mins

EFL Advanced (CAE).
