Course programme

ESOL courses provide you with a thorough introduction to the English language, covering all four skills: Listening, Speaking, Reading and Writing. You will also develop your employability skills.

You must be resident or permanently settled in the UK.

You will need to take a short test so that we can assess your level and enrol you on the best course for you. Just book an assessment or drop in during opening hours (see below).

Please bring your passport with you to book your assessment.

Finsbury Park Centre (Centre for Lifelong Learning, 28-42 Blackstock Road, Finsbury Park, N4 2DG)

  • Monday to Thursday 9am-7pm
  • Friday 9am-3pm

Camden Road Centre (Centre for Business, Arts and Technology, 444 Camden Road, N7 0SP)

  • Monday 8.30am-5pm
  • Tuesday and Thursday 8.30am-7pm
  • Wednesday and Friday 8.30am-3.30pm

Your skills in speaking, listening, reading and writing will be assessed through examinations, and your tutor will advise you when you have the language skills needed to pass the exams.

You can progress to a Level 2 English language qualification, such as GCSE. You may also progress to a Level 1 or 2 vocational course, or further academic study.
