European Computer Driving Licence Pt. 1
ECDL
Introduction
The European Computer Driving Licence (ECDL) is a Europe-wide qualification which is endorsed by the British Computer Society. It enables you to demonstrate competence in computer skills and establishes standards for everyone who uses a computer in either a professional or a personal capacity.
Course Content
Computer-based learning will be used to cover the following 3 modules:
* Concepts of Information Technology
* Using the Computer and Managing Files
* Information and Communication
Entry Requirements
You should be able to use a computer keyboard and mouse and be familiar with navigating Windows.
Duration
Two hours per week for 20 weeks.
Assessment
There is no fixed assessment date. On-line assessment will take place when you have reached the required standard.
Progression
Upon achieving the 3 units candidates can progress to BCS Level 2 Certificate for IT Users (ECDL Part 2).
