EUROPHOTONICS - Master in Photonics Engineering, Nanophotonics and Biophotonics
-
Recently concluding my Master degree in the European program Europhotonics, Photonics engineering, nanophotonics and biophotonics. I have been developing my master tesis in the Astronomy Institute of Mexico City, working in the optical instrumentation department in the Optimization of a Shack-Hartmann Wave-front sensor of an astronomical Adaptive Optics system that will be installed in the largest telescope of Mexico in the National Observatory of San Pedro Mártir.

Hugues Giovannini
Professor
Hugues (Ugo) Giovannini was born in Milan (Italy) in 1963. From 1987 to 1991 he worked as an engineer at Société Bertin et Cie. He received his Ph. D. degree from the University of Aix-Marseille III in 1991. His doctoral research dealt with optical fiber sensors and interferometry. In 1991 he worked as a post doc at Ecole Polytechnique de Montréal - Canada on weakly monomode tapered fibers. In 1991 he joined the Laboratoire d'Optique des Surfaces et des Couches Minces (now Institut Fresnel). He is Professor at Institut Universitaire de Technologie (IUT) de Marseille,
Jaume Pujol Ramo
Professor
He received his MSc and Phd degrees in physics from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona. In 1984 he joined to UPC, where he is Professor. He is author of over 50 papers, 4 books in Physiological Optics and Color and 3 patents. His main current research interest is the evaluation of the optical quality of the eye and color technology and imaging. He was head of DOO at UPC. Currently he is head of CD6, president of the Spanish Color Comitee and director of VISIOMETRICS S.L.
