Preparing you for a career in event management, this course focuses on developing future professionals with a good knowledge of the role and scope of the event sector. The importance of effective event management is clear at international, national, regional and local level.
The successful Olympic bid 2012, the Ryder Cup 2010, venues such as the rebuilt Wembley Stadium, the Millennium Centre in Cardiff and local events, such as the Calennig celebrations in Cardiff at New Year, all serve to highlight the importance of skilled professionals in the sector. This unique course combines academic theory with vocationally relevant practical skills to equip graduates with the necessary tools to gain employment in the rapidly-expanding field of event management.
Work undertaken within these organisations will then directly relate to the academic theory.

Leisure, sport and tourism are increasingly important in modern societies due to a combination of their economic, socio-cultural and environmental impacts.
