About this course

to enable candidates to get their last few clips of evidence for their BSL or interpreting portfolio submission

for anyone on a BSL level 6 or Interpreting programme who do not have the opportunities to collect 'real' evidence. This day will be classified as 'simulated' evidence collection

Byron is a qualified interpreter working for Sign Solutions as Head Interpreter. He is an experienced tutor who will be the lead tutor on our Level 6 NVQ Diploma in Sign Language Interpreting courses commencing in 2011.

Course programme

Evidence Collection Day

We are giving candidates the opportunity to collect evidence as part of their NVQ6 Interpreting Programme.

There will be filming opportunities with Deaf and Hearing visitors using varied scenarios to obtain evidence for the following Units:-

  • B1 (1 way interpreting)
  • C1 (2 way interpreting)
  • B1 and C1 (Consecutive interpreting clips)
  • E1 (Sight translations)

You should be able to achieve a minimum of 2 clips during the day, depending on your specific requirements.
