Overview ​You will explore the role that exercise and nutrition plays in the maintenance of good health and the prevention of disease. You will learn about nutrition relating to health, exercise and sport, issues in relation to the psychology and sociology of health, the communication and promotion of health issues and the anatomy and&#;physiology of exercise.

Additional information

Course Information You will be given the opportunity to study for professional qualifications. These include Gym-based Instructor and Personal Training fitness qualifications as well as an Exercise Referral qualification. These qualifications allow registration onto Level 3 of the Register for Exercise Professionals (REPS). The course is partially mapped to the core competency requirements for registration as an Associate Nutritionist withthe Association for Nutrition (AfN). You can study abroad, usually in your second year. We currently work with partners in Germany, Spain and Australia, where you can go for one semester to gain credits towards your degree. You will undertake two industry placements with the opportunity to take your first or second year placement in another country, usually within Europe.
