Course Content:
This is a 20 week course covering the following: The application of massage and cosmetic products to the face, neck and shoulders to improve the appearance of the skin. The qualification also deals with the promotion of skin care and advising the client on how to care for the skin. Health & safety and hygiene is included, especially in regard to the products used.

Equipment Requirements:
You will be required to wear suitable salon wear, which consists of a Black tunic and trousers, and black salon shoes. Discounted salon clothing is available from us. If you would like a form please ask. You will also be required to purchase a beauty kit, which is approximately £30.00 (based on 2006 prices.) These are available from Ellisons. Please ensure that you collect the order forms for the above items from the Information & Guidance office, and order before the start of the course.

Additional Information:
Part time for 20 weeks, one evening per week. This is an intensive course, which requires commitment and dedication on your part. Additional units to be covered are: D1120 Support health, safety and security in the salon / Support employment standardsYou will be expected to provide models for your practical assessments who will be expected to contribute to the cost of consumables. You will be required to complete an externally set end of unit assessment papers. An interview is required for this course. Please note this is not a Government sponsored course. You will, therefore, be required to pay all fees personally.

Enrolment Instructions:
An interview will be required before enrolment onto this course. Late enrolments will not be accepted later than week 3 of the start date.
