Course Aims: The course is designed for those who will be expected to either lead a team or enable the successful progression of the functionality of a team towards a desired objective.
These may include:
- Multi-site task teams
- Multi-functional teams
- Business process re-engineering teams
- Continuous improvement groups
- Team meetings
- Difficult or sensitive situations - these could be within a department, cross-site interdepartmental etc.
As a result of attending the course, delegates should be able to:
- Understand the role of a facilitator
- Appreciate the benefits of utilising facilitation skills
- Be aware of potential difficulties when managing group meetings and overcome them
- Recognise the importance of adopting the correct facilitation style for a given situation
