Synopsis:

There are numerous situations when the provision of unbiased guidance and support to enable a group to generate ideas, identify issues and reach consensus on future action within a specified time can be extremely beneficial to an organisation. This training course is designed meet this requirement.
Course Aims: The course is designed for those who will be expected to either lead a team or enable the successful progression of the functionality of a team towards a desired objective.

These may include:

  • Multi-site task teams
  • Multi-functional teams
  • Business process re-engineering teams
  • Continuous improvement groups
  • Team meetings
  • Difficult or sensitive situations - these could be within a department, cross-site interdepartmental etc.

As a result of attending the course, delegates should be able to:

  • Understand the role of a facilitator
  • Appreciate the benefits of utilising facilitation skills
  • Be aware of potential difficulties when managing group meetings and overcome them
  • Recognise the importance of adopting the correct facilitation style for a given situation
