About this course

For 2010 entry 120 points. Level 3 advanced diploma in Creative & Media considered when combined with other qualifications For 2011 Entry 220 points of which 200 from 2 A Levels or equivalent.
Preferred subjects: Art, Fashion
Recommended GCSEs: Minimum of 4 at (grades A-C) minimum including Maths and English or appropriate Key Skills Level 2
If English is not your first language: IELTS 6.0 (Academic) or above.

Course Overview

This course is delivered at Wiltshire College Salisbury, a Bournemouth University Partner College.

This exciting and comprehensive degree course will prepare you for a career in the fashion and textiles industry. The course focuses on the development of skills appropriate to the fashion industry.

On completion of the course you will be well-versed in the many aspects of fashion design, textile design and production. These skills will be complemented by an understanding of the historical, social, political, and economic influences on fashion design, and a sound knowledge of business and marketing principles to ensure a broad understanding of the industry and its organisation. These skills will be supported by relevant experience of IT systems for CAD CAM, as appropriate for today’s industry.
