Topics covered
You will be shown and given examples of fabrics from different suppliers, which will enable you to have a clear idea of which supplier to contact for specific fabrics.
You will be encouraged to delve into fashion magazines and reference books finding a personal style or theme to develop. The internet may also be used to stream current collections.
Using fabrics provided you can begin to develop your ideas ready to photocopy and sketch.
Magazines, fabrics and sketches will provide the necessary information for you to start your mood board.
A series of design developments and possible final drawings will then be produced providing the starting point for your collection and portfolio.
