About this Course (This course is validated by the University of Brighton and delivered by Northbrook College) Games Design UCAS code: G610 Students on the FdA (Foundation Degree) course will develop a range of theoretical and practical skills that are needed within the games industry. The first year develops fundamental skills relating to games design and development (including programming, developing 2D graphics 3D modelling and game design theory) â these are then further extended in the second year, using industry-standard tools and technologies to gain practical experience of building a range of multimedia assets and prototype games. All students studying Games at Northbrook can apply for a position at Northbrookâs student led game studio to gain important industry experience whilst studying.

Students on the FdA (Foundation Degree) course will develop a range of theoretical and practical skills that are needed within the games industry. All students studying Games at Northbrook can apply for a position at Northbrook’s student led game studio to gain important industry experience whilst studying.

Additional information

The course will explore current development tools and technologies – allowing learners to develop skills using a range of industry standard tools and techniques. Learners will also develop transferable skills such as communication, team working, problem solving and research and analysis.
