Course programme
This course will initially introduce you to the basics of computing in a range of areas including computer systems and networking, systems modelling, application development and website development.
In the second year some subjects are studied in more detail whilst other new subjects are introduced, including security and mobile applications.
Although all of these are highly relevant and important to today's business and society, there is particular exposure to developing coding skills and an understand of security issues, both of which are relevant and in demand in the workplace today.
You will also develop your personal and professional skills appropriate for study and career prospects at this level. These include: communications, research and presentation skills, along with many more.
In the final year you will develop a product for a live client, pulling together the knowledge and practice gained through the course and also learning and developing your project management skills.
The course will result in you having a broad base of understanding in the field of computing and ICT.
