Course programme

My love of textiles started from a very young age and has lead me to a life long love of arts and crafts. I first began working with wool fibres over 10 years ago and I am a qualified adult education teacher. I have taught City and Guilds feltmaking and design for craft for 5 years. It is the versatile and tactile nature of wool that made working in fibres love at first sight for me. I am enthusiastic and very passionate about fibres and this reflects in my work and teaching. I enjoy the challenge of creating something that is unique from design through to the finished piece, not liking what you are making, resolving design problems to then loving your finished piece, I find exciting. My work is varied and there is no particular technique or fibre, at this current time, that she would say my specialty. It is the joy of discovering new ways to work with fibres and passing my skills onto others that I enjoy the most. I can also offer day or weekend workshops from complete beginners to more advanced feltmaking. Alternatively we can discuss a booking for short courses covering several techniques such as inlay, mosaic, 3D template and Nuno (felting with fabric) felt. Courses can be catered for individual needs. Please contact me to register an interest or to go on my mailing list for future workshops. Happy felting!
