2. Course description This course will develop your analysis and interpretation skills which will allow you to read and deconstruct films.AS - In Exploring Film Form you will learn about Film Language and begin to identify and interpret how films communicate with us and you will use this knowledge to create a portfolio of coursework. In British and American Film you will study three units one Investigating the Film Industry one on British Film and the third being a comparative unit on American Film. A2 - In Film Research and Creative Projects you will develop independent research skills and your knowledge and understanding of film through a portfolio of research work and creative work. In Varieties of Film Experience Issues and Debates you will develop your film analysis skills in to the area of world cinema and consider the messages films present and offer.
