Course programme
By the end of the course the participant will be able to display an understanding of:
- The Fire Regulations
- Thorough awareness of organisational fire procedures
- Pre-evacuation awareness
- Duties of a Fire Marshall including:
- Fire alarms
- Evacuation procedures
- Accounting for personnel
- Liason with fire brigade
- Fire drills
- Re-entry to building
- Special Duties – Disabled, visitors, contractors.
- Knowledge and use of relevant fire fighting equipment
- The delivery of the lesson plan.
There is a written question paper and the trainees will be assessed on
the practical element.
The training involves candidate participation with the emphasis on the practical element of the training. There is practical use of fire fighting equipment at a basic level.
The participants will apply the training during the course.
All candidates are certificated through National Training Services.
