Fire Safety & Risk Assessment - The Fire Safety (Northern Ireland) Regulations 2006
Course Objectives:
Under The Fire Safety (Northern Ireland) Regulations 2006, employers, property owners, landlords and other dutyholders are required to assess fire risks in the workplace and implement appropriate fire safety precautions including raising the alarm and evacuating the premises. The aim is to simplify, rationalise and consolidate existing fire safety legislation. It will provide for a risk-based approach to fire safety allowing more efficient effective enforcement by the fire and rescue service.

Well trained and competent staff are the best defence against the threat of fire and the most effective way of managing alarm incidents and evacuation of your premises. This seminar workshop will provide delegates with a thorough understanding of fire safety issues and prepare them to confidently conduct fire risk assessments in their own workplace. This course includes a practical interpretation of the new fire safety guidelines effective in Northern Ireland in January 2007.
