Introduction
This popular course is designed to introduce you to the many opportunities within the equine industry. In addition to academic study, you will receive practical instruction to support your stage of ability and experience.
Your new skills could preprare you for a job in the equine industry or help you to move onto our National Certificate or National Diploma in Equine Studies.

About the course
As well as giving you a good grounding in essential skills and knowledge, the First Diploma in Horse Care also offers you the opportunity to take industry recognised qualifications such as BHS stage 1 and 2 and Functional Skills at Level 2.
This course is designed to give you some practical experience with horses in a safe environment. As part of the course you will also have three weeks planned work experience that will help you to develop a good level of competence when handling horses.
