Description of the Course
The course enables you to develop your practical skills in music technology. Your main focus is music, music recording and production, with written work closely supporting your practical study.
Course content
The main elements of the course are:

· Planning and Creating a Music Product
· Exploring the Music Profession
· Producing a Musical Recording
· Understanding Music
· Exploring Computer Systems Used by Musicians
· Exploring an Area of Music

Assessment
Most of the course is continuously assessed. For coursework, students must research, produce written reports and evaluations and show evidence of planning and organisation. Students will undertake a literacy and/or numeracy programme depending on prior attainment in these areas.
