This course is a good foundational course for those who wish to take a step further in medical treatment from first aid. It is appropriate for Community Responders, Fire and Police Officers and security staff. It is designed to provide learners with simple but effective skills and knowledge to enable them to provide immediate care in the first few minutes of an emergency. The awarding bodies IHCD and Edexcel, are widely recognised in the UK and abroad. In addition, the First Person on Scene qualification is clinically endorsed by the Faculty of Pre-Hospital Care (Edinburgh), the leading clinical body for pre-Hospital Care in the UK.

About this course

No pre requisite but a knowledge of basic first aid and anatomy may be an advantage. Candidates will learn about a number of first aid and medical subjects by delivery from theory and practical sessions

Course Information This course is regulated by Institute of HealthCare Development (IHCD) and EdExcel.

It has been designed to provide students with an increased knowledge and superior skills in pre-hospital care, enabling them to manage an ill or injured casualty within the first few minutes of a situation until handover to the medical services.

This course would be of benefit to anyone who may be involved with a casualty, especially security related emergencies and requires a greater knowledge and competence to be able to deal and care for casualties until further assistance arrives.

The training is delivered by highly experienced trainers within the fields of first aid and ballistics, our training is presented in a relaxed manner with the right blend of theory and practical sessions.

Course Duration / Qualification
The course is delivered over 5 consecutive days.
Graduates receive a certificate from the Institute of Healthcare Development (IHCD), clinically endorsed by the Royal College of Surgeons Edinburgh FPOS intermediate courses are delivered over 5 days in-house or at a selected venue.
