Approved by The Institute of Health Care Development (IHCD from Edexcel) and Clinical endorsed by the Faculty of Pre- Hospital Care (Edinburgh). IHCD provides Awarding Body services for the Ambulance Service Association. The awards are the training standard for those employed by NHS Ambulance Services, and are operated throughout the United Kingdom. Edexcel is the UK’s largest awarding body to offer a range of both general and specialist qualifications, for UK and international markets. FPOS Intermediate is the minimum standard for community responders and close protection officers.

About this course
This 4 day course is designed for students who wish to extend their basic First Aid skills to the next level, so students should already hold a current first aid certificate. The course is broken down into easy to digest components, consisting of practical and theoretical sessions. At the end of the course there will be an assessment consisting of both theoretical and practical elements, which will ensure that the student has met the requirements of the course, and reached a high level of knowledge and skill.
