What is the European Computer Driving Licence course?
ECDL Essentials will allow the candidate to have an initial understanding of the computer and applications as well as the use of Internet and Email. This selection of units has always been particularly popular with corporate customers as it allows all staff to have an understanding of the use of IT systems as well as core systems such as email and corporate Intranet (for example web based HR systems).
It is essential that you know how to use the mouse efficiently and have a good knowledge of the keyboard or have completed an introductory computer course before enrolling.
NB An interview is required before you can enrol on this course.

This course is not tutor led, students work in their own time either at work/home or at College. You are allocated a learning tutor who is there to offer support either by email, phone or in person if you choose to work at College, where you will have use of a computer
Assessment details
The three on-line assessments can be taken in any order, but you must pass all three to gain the qualification.

Costs: Price on application (includes 6 hours of learning and exam invigilation £30, £15 BCS (British Computer Society) and £33 tests).
Extra costs: Re-sits £11 per unit, writing materials and USB Memory Stick, course book approximately £20 which covers Part 1 and Part 2
