FMBS AAT Level 2 Certificate in Accounting

Who is this course for?

Ideal for those who are new to accountancy and are considering a career in finance or self-employment, or for those who are looking for a refresher of their basic accounting skills.

What qualifications or experience do I need ?

No formal experience is necessary English and Maths at GCSE grade D or above, or equivalent Mature students may be accepted upon successful completion of an initial assessment

What will I study ?

To have a firm understanding of basic bookkeeping is a fundamental skill that all accountants must possess and at Level 2 we will begin to explore the concepts of double entry bookkeeping enabling you to be able to prepare simple accounts up to the preparation of a Trial Balance. Learners will gain an understanding of how to: " Process simple transactions using double entry bookkeeping " Prepare control accounts and journals " Use and understand the banking system " Use basic costing techniques " Work effectively in Accounting and Finance " Process transactions using computerised accounting packages (SAGE)

How will I be assessed ?

Computer Based Assessment at the end of each module

AAT Level 2
