This course explores why static stretching alone can’t return your muscle imbalances to their correct muscle length-tension rate. It gives you the knowledge and strategies for correcting these problems and what can be done to eliminate the return of their muscular dysfunctions.
Your learning outcomes
•Understanding of tonic and phasic musculature and a basic overview of postural distortions and muscle imbalance Recognition of tonic and phasic muscles
•Background anatomy and physiology relevant to self myofascial release including muscle physiology and in depth connective tissue anatomy/physiology
Pre-requisites
•Level 2/3 Fitness Instructor or Personal Trainer.Any healthcare professional including Physiotherapist, Osteopath, Chiropractor, Sport Rehabilitator, Sports Therapist, Sports Massage therapist
