About the course You will learn in our industry-standard commercial Gallery Restaurant. The restaurant is open to the public so you'll be gaining real practical experience using effective communication and service skills to prepare, cook and present food to customers.
Level 1
On this course, you will study for the Certificate in Culinary Skills qualification. You will develop the skills required for practical activities within the kitchen, learning the foundation methods of cookery, producing meals and the service skills to work front of house. This will be carried out within our training kitchens and restaurant.
Level 2

About this course
Entry requirements
Level 1
You will need to attend a shadowing day and have a successful reference and interview.
Level 2
You will need to have achieved Level 1 Food and Beverage and have a successful reference and interview.
All young people will continue to improve their skills in English and Mathematics while studying at the college. If you have lower than a C grade GCSE in Mathematics or English Language, you will be supported to work towards this level.
