Course Overview
This course is suitable for Waiters, Stewards, Caterers, Bar Persons and Dining Room Supervisors working within the Hospitality Industry.
Course Structure
This is a two-year programme with attendance on days to suit from
9.00am 3.00pm Tuesdays and Fridays in the Pegwell Building. Initially students should meet in the Pegwell reception area.
The course will cover practical food service and the theory to underpin the practice including:
- Hygiene
- Health and safety
- Dealing with customers
- Operating a cash point
- Food service methods
Qualification Aims
The main aim is to enable students to gain a relevant qualification to help with their day to day work within the industry.
Assessments/Examinations
The course is continuously assessed at College with some evidence of tasks undertaken at work.
