Overview
With more people choosing to dine in these days, why don’t you join us for a short course in foods from around the world? With expert tuition in our industry approved kitchens, you’ll feel confident preparing exciting menus for friends and family. With Thai curry, coq-au-vin, fish and chips and chocolate truffles on the menu, you’ll be able to dine in a different country every night of the week.

Entry Requirements
An interest in home cooking is essential, plus a willingness to learn new skills and techniques in a professional kitchen.

Course Duration
6 weeks - Tuesday evening.

Skills and Benefits
To learn the skills needed to produce a range of foods from around the world. You will be given an introduction to health and safety practices in our professional kitchen environment.

Mandatory Units
Week 1: Thailand/Tibet Thai curry and Momo dumplings Week 2: Britain Fish and chips and beef dinner Week 3: USA Burger and fries Week 4: India/Bangladesh Curry Week5: France Coq-au-vin and cassoulet Week 6: Germany and Switzerland Black forest gateau and chocolate truffles

There are no optional units on this qualification.

Course Assessment
Your tutor will give you helpful advice, guidance and support throughout the course to improve taste, presentation and technique.
