About this course

You will need a range of GCSEs grade D/E. If you do not have Grade C in English and/or Maths you will be required to resit these subjects to obtain a higher grade. You must be able to demonstrate a strong interest in football and a serious ability to apply yourself to becoming a football coach.

About the Course
This is a one year course of study to achieve the following qualifications that will prepare you to coach, deliver coaching sessions and evaluate performance:
* Level 1 Certificate in Coaching Football
* NVQ level 1 in Sport, Recreation and Allied Occupations
* First Aid Qualifications
* Level 2 Certificate in Coaching Football
* Level 2 in Coaching, Teaching and Instructing Association Football
All units underpin knowledge of preparing to coach, delivering coaching sessions and evaluate performance.

How is the course assessed?
All tasks and units are assessed through developing a portfolio of evidence. Practical sessions are observed by an independent assessor.
Fees
No Course Fees for Under 19's. Over 19's must pay, or claim Level 2 or Level 3 Entitlement for FREE courses .
What next?
Potential employment as a football coach within the UK and USA. Entry to a level 3 NVQ and Certificate in Coaching Football, which is offered here at Totton College.
