Course programme
Van Hee currently provides training and assessment to achieve National Vocational Qualifications (NVQ) and Vocationally Related Qualifications (VRQ). The VRQ will be administered by the National Proficiency Tests Council (NPTC), and is based upon the capability of the individual to do a job.
Competence is assessed through observation of practical work supported by oral questioning and project work against nationally recognised standards developed by the industry.
VRQ’s differ from more traditional forms of qualification in that they are not time served and there are no formal examinations involved in their achievements, therefore the more effort that is put in by the candidate the faster they can complete the qualification and become qualified.
Assessment is a process by which it is confirmed that the Candidate is competent in the Units within the award to which the assessment relates. It is a process of collecting evidence about his/ her capabilities and judging whether that evidence is sufficient to attribute competence.
Structure of the Qualification
The Lift Truck Operation is a Level 2 qualification, which consists of 3 units as listed.
All units are required to achieve the qualification.
Units of Competence
