This two year full-time or three year part-time programme is designed to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of animal management to equip them with the necessary knowledge to assess the welfare needs of animals, enable them to acquire practical animal management skills and devise appropriate management strategies pertinent to the animal sector. It focuses on the health and welfare aspects of animal management plus employment in the ancillary industries.

Campus Work Experience
Work related learning is an important part of this course. You will negotiate work experience or a placement with your tutor.

Assessment
The assessment programme includes written course work, practical assessment, presentations, learning diary/reflective logs, and case studies.

Entry Requirement

Satisfactory reference plus one of the following:
100 UCAS points; from A Levels or equivalent e.g. BTEC National in Animal Management
In addition to the above, GCSEs English Language and Mathematics (grade C or above) or equivalent
Students with relevant HNCs may be able to transfer credit in certain modules onto the Foundation Degree.
Students without the necessary qualifications but with relevant work experience are encouraged to apply.
