· Course Overview: · The proposed award is designed to enable individuals to undertake preliminary, intermediate and higher technical learning within the Construction industry and to provide individuals with the contextual, business and personal knowledge, skills and understanding to prepare for employment and self-employment within the industry. There will be a strong emphasis on personal development allied to individualised work-based learning projects providing opportunities to learn through doing. Graduates of the proposed award will be prepared to take up employment in a wide variety of areas requiring the skills and knowledge of the architectural professional which include architectural technician and more generic interior and exterior design roles within a growing market. There will also be the opportunity to continue further study through to full honours degree in an architectural technician or architectural design field.
