The University of Ulster awards the Foundation Degree and successful completion permits entry into the second year of related degree courses at university. The course is designed for candidates who are interested in following a career in Architectural Technology and who require a Foundation Degree to progress to higher academic qualifications and/or to enhance employment prospects in this field. The Foundation Degree includes 400 hours of work placement in the second year of the course - providing candidates with an excellent opportunity to apply the skills and knowledge acquired into real life practice. (Placement is to be secured by the student in association with the college). Work Placement is assessed via employer input, the tutor; a written report and a presentation / interview.
