This is a new qualification that has been designed with the assistance of employer organisations and their representatives. It is a qualification for ENGINEERS who are seeking to complement their work-based learning experiences with an extremely valuable qualification in its own right. It has been produced in partnership with Staffordshire University and can also be used as the basis for building your studies to an honours degree.

Entry Requirements
Normally you will require to satisfy ONE of the following:
- Completion of a Level 3 Technical Certificate in Engineering
- BTEC National Certificate or Diploma in Engineering
- Advanced GNVQ in Engineering
- Mature Student Status with relevant experience & mathematical ability
The Foundation Degree is a 3 year course, but after 2 years successful students have the option of leaving with an HNC.Attendance at college is usually ONE whole day per week between 09.00am and approx. 6.30pm
The programme normally starts in September and runs through until May
Assessment
Assessment is often by a combination of assignment work and examinations. Often assignments incorporate work-based project work.
Progression
It has been produced in partnership with Staffordshire University and can be used for building your studies to a honours degree in engineering.
