Foundation Degree in Sports Studies

This full time, two year programme, is for students looking to progress onto a full honours degree or who are looking for an academic qualification before entering employment. The second year includes a work based learning module. Students are assessed through coursework, exams, presentations and practical sessions. The course is validated by the University of Hertfordshire but delivered predominately at North Hertfordshire College.

The programme covers three main areas, Sports Management, Sports Coaching & Fitness and Sports Development. Students study 14 modules over the two years. Foundation Degrees are vocationally focused and equip learners with the skills and knowledge relevant to their employment and the needs of employers.
